Assurance Wall Mount

Wall-mounted UV-C air cleaning sconce

A wall-mounted air-cleaning fixture for corridors, entryways, and rooms where the ceiling cannot host a fixture. It adds continuous UV-C air disinfection to circulation spaces that filtration usually ignores.

Questions

Assurance Wall Mount FAQs.

Why disinfect corridor air?

Corridors and lobbies concentrate transient traffic from every part of a building, and they are usually the last spaces to receive any air treatment. Wall sconces cover them without competing for ceiling space or floor area.

Can sconces be installed without a ceiling retrofit?

Yes. The sconce mounts to the wall and needs only power, which makes it the practical option in hard-lid ceilings, historic buildings, and spaces where opening the ceiling is not an option.

Is UV-C safe with people in the room?

Yes. The UV-C LEDs sit inside a sealed internal chamber, so germicidal light never reaches skin or eyes. Only clean air leaves the fixture, which is why the system can run continuously while a room is occupied — unlike UV robots that require an empty room.

Does UV-C kill COVID-19 and other airborne viruses?

UV-C in the 275 nm germicidal range damages the RNA and DNA of airborne pathogens — including coronaviruses such as SARS-CoV-2, along with bacteria, mold, and fungal spores — so they can no longer replicate or cause infection as air passes through the chamber.

How is this different from a HEPA air purifier?

HEPA traps particles in a filter that must be changed and can re-release captured organisms during service. UV-C inactivates pathogens as air passes through, and because the system is built into the ceiling light there is no floor unit, no ductwork, and no filter replacement cycle.
