4′ / 8′ linear UV-C air cleaning strip and pendant
A suspended linear fixture for open and exposed ceilings, where architecture stays visible and there is no grid to drop into. Available in 4′ and 8′ runs with the same sealed 275 nm UV-C chamber.

Confidence LED™ Linear at a glance.
- Works where there is no ceiling grid at all
- Continuous runs distribute clean air across large open floors
- Architectural finish for hospitality and retail spaces
| Form factor | 4′ or 8′ linear strip, surface-mount or suspended pendant |
|---|---|
| Installation | Cable-suspended or surface-mounted for open and exposed ceilings |
| Typical coverage | Continuous runs sized to the floor plate rather than to a grid |
| Germicidal wavelength | 275 nm UV-C LED (peak germicidal range) |
| UV-C chamber | Fully sealed and enclosed — no UV exposure to occupants |
| Air changes per hour | Designed for 4–6 ACH in a typical room (full air volume every 10–15 min) |
| Operation | Continuous, 24/7, with the room occupied |
| Downlighting | Energy-efficient LED, dimmable, optional circadian settings |
| Controls | Motion-sensor auto-on, adjustable fan speed, optional mobile app control |
| Service | Maintenance-indicator light; long-life LEDs measured in years, not months |

Confidence LED™ Linear FAQs.
Can linear UV-C fixtures work with open or exposed ceilings?
Yes — that is exactly what they are for. The linear fixtures suspend from cables or mount to the deck, so buildings with exposed structure, high ceilings, or no lay-in grid still get continuous UV-C air disinfection.
Are the fans quiet enough for a restaurant dining room?
The fans are quiet, adjustable-speed units sized to the room, so they sit under normal conversation-level background noise. Fan speed can be tuned per space during commissioning.
Is UV-C safe with people in the room?
Yes. The UV-C LEDs sit inside a sealed internal chamber, so germicidal light never reaches skin or eyes. Only clean air leaves the fixture, which is why the system can run continuously while a room is occupied — unlike UV robots that require an empty room.
Does UV-C kill COVID-19 and other airborne viruses?
UV-C in the 275 nm germicidal range damages the RNA and DNA of airborne pathogens — including coronaviruses such as SARS-CoV-2, along with bacteria, mold, and fungal spores — so they can no longer replicate or cause infection as air passes through the chamber.
How is this different from a HEPA air purifier?
HEPA traps particles in a filter that must be changed and can re-release captured organisms during service. UV-C inactivates pathogens as air passes through, and because the system is built into the ceiling light there is no floor unit, no ductwork, and no filter replacement cycle.
