Is UV-C safe around children all day?

Yes. The UV-C LEDs are sealed in an internal chamber; no UV light ever leaves the fixture. Students only see the standard LED downlight.

Will installation disrupt the school day?

No. Fixtures swap in like ordinary lighting replacements — most districts do a wing at a time after hours or during breaks.

How does this compare to portable HEPA units in classrooms?

Portable units take floor space, generate noise at student level, need filter budgets, and often get switched off. Ceiling fixtures run continuously and are out of reach.

Does it help with mold and allergens as well as viruses?

UV-C inactivates mold and fungal spores along with bacteria and viruses as air passes through the chamber.
